FAQ

  • Q What do you need to quote an HSC-B?

A Paper type and basis weight, roll diameter, weight and width, how many webs you want to run, cutting length, finished width, slitting format, output target, stack requirement, power supply, factory layout and destination.
  • Q How does the HSC-S differ from the EXC?

A The HSC-S is the standard high-precision platform, balanced across the full material and length range. The EXC is the high-speed version: it runs significantly faster at short cutting lengths and adds a full-width mesh belt, infrared size auto-adjustment, and the stack scale and height measurement system. If most of your work sits at short lengths, the EXC pays for itself; if your lengths vary widely, the HSC-S is usually the better buy.
  • Q Can finished sheets go directly to printing?

A Yes. The double rotary knives shear rather than chop, so the edges come out clean, burr-free and without dust - no edge trimming needed before printing.
  • Q How much electricity does the energy storage tank save?

A Around 30%. Under full capacity the line draws 10–15 A, against roughly 60 A without it.
  • Q What do you need to quote an HSC-S?

A Paper type, basis weight, roll dimensions, cutting-length range, finished sheet width, output target, slitting requirements, power supply, factory layout and destination.
  • Q How fast does the EXC run?

A Up to 450 cuts/min, held from 600 mm down. At 450 mm it runs 373 cuts/min against 222 on the standard version - 68% more. Speed varies with cutting length, material and operating conditions, so it is worth checking the table at the lengths you actually run.
  • Q Why is the EXC suited to short sheets?

A Its speed profile is built for them: The shorter the sheet, the wider the gap between the EXC and a standard machine. Infrared size auto-adjustment also makes the frequent size changes that come with short-sheet work quick to execute, and the full-width mesh belt keeps sheets stable at those speeds.
  • Q How much electricity does the energy storage cabinet save?

A Around 30%. Under full load the line draws 10–15 A, against roughly 60 A without the cabinet.
  • Q How are stack weight and height measured?

A A scale on the lifting platform displays stack weight, and a laser rangefinder measures stack height. Both read continuously.
  • Q What do you need to quote an EXC?

A Paper type and basis weight, your main cutting lengths, roll dimensions, finished-sheet size, required cuts per minute, stack requirements, slitting layout, factory space, power supply and destination.
  • Q What is the difference between HSC-B and HSCJ-B?

A The unwind. The HSC-B takes two, four or six unwind stands and runs 30–550 g/m². The HSCJ-B takes one, runs 50–550 g/m² and takes noticeably less floor space. Cutting system, controls and accuracy are identical. If floor space is your constraint, the HSCJ-B; if light papers or volume are, the HSC-B.
  • Q What speed and accuracy are available?

A ±0.3 mm cutting accuracy across the range. Up to 350 cuts/min on the HSC-B and HSCJ-B, or 400 cuts/min on the cast iron HSC-D and HSCJ-D.
  • Q How light a paper can these machines run?

A Down to 30 g/m², with four or six unwind stands. Light papers need the support of multiple webs through the cutting section - with one or two unwind stands the range is 50–550 g/m².
  • Q How does EPC web guiding help production?

A It detects lateral web deviation and corrects the web path in real time. The cutting width stays consistent, edge-trim waste drops.
  • Q Which options can be added?

A Two: the color code sensor and the dedusting roller. The automation systems available on the double rotary range are not offered on single-knife machines.
  • Q What information do you need for a quotation?

A Paper type and weight, roll width and diameter, how many webs you want to run, finished sheet dimensions, target output, slitting requirements, power supply, available floor space and destination.
  • Q Can finished stacks be removed without stopping production?

A Yes. When a stack reaches its set height, the insert plate holds the incoming sheets, while the stack auto-flow carries the completed stack out of the line. Roll changes and slitting-knife changes are covered the same way, so a normal shift runs without a planned stop.
  • Q What paper range can the automatic splicer handle?

A The splicer handles base paper from 80 to 400 g/m². The sheeter itself runs the full 80–1,000 g/m² range.
  • Q What cutting accuracy and sheet length can the HSC-SS hold?

A Cutting accuracy is ±0.15 mm, over a cutting length range of 450 to 1,650 mm.
  • Q What do you need to quote an HSC-SS?

A Paper specifications, roll dimensions, finished sheet sizes, output target, changeover frequency, pallet details, the automation scope you want, factory layout, power supply and destination.
