Q What paper range does the HSC-B handle?
A 30 to 550 g/m² with four or six unwind stands, or 50 to 550 g/m² with two. Light papers need the support of multiple webs through the cutting section. For laminated, foil-faced, heavily coated or specialty structures, send us the material details or a sample and we will confirm before quoting.
-
Q How fast does the HSC-B run?
A Up to 350 cuts/min, with line speed capped at 300 m/min. Which limit you reach depends on cutting length: below about 857 mm the cut rate is the ceiling, above it the line speed is. Light papers in practice run below these figures, because web stability rather than drive capacity becomes the limiting factor.
-
Q What is the difference between the HSC-B and the HSC-D?
A The body and the cutting frequency. The HSC-D uses a nodular cast iron body and reaches 400 cuts/min against the HSC-B's 350.
-
Q How many unwind stands do I need?
A Two is standard and covers 50–550 g/m². Four or six extend the range down to 30 g/m², which is what thin-paper producers need. Tell us your basis weight and output target and we will recommend the configuration.
-
Q How does the HSC-B compare with the double rotary machines?
A Accuracy and automation. The HSC-B is a single-knife machine holding ±0.3 mm; the double rotary models hold ±0.15 mm and shear the web with two rotating knives, which gives a cleaner edge. The double rotary range also accepts the full set of automation options. If your work needs tighter tolerance or continuous unmanned running, look at the HSC-S.
-
Q What is included in the standard configuration?
A Automatic tension control, servo cutting, pneumatic slitting and trimming knives, label insertion, a web guide system, a de-curler and static elimination. Your quotation shows the complete included scope.
-
Q Which options can be added to the HSC-B?
A Two: The Color Code Sensor and the Dedusting Roller. The automation systems on the double rotary range are not offered on single-knife machines.
-
Q What do you need to quote an HSC-B?
A Paper type and basis weight, roll diameter, weight and width, how many webs you want to run, cutting length, finished width, slitting format, output target, stack requirement, power supply, factory layout and destination.
