The HSCJ-B does what the standard machine does, in less floor space. A single unwind feeds the web through a motor-driven de-curler and EPC guiding, an AC servo drive positions the rotary upper knife against a fixed lower knife, and an automatic collection table lowers as the stack builds and squares it on three sides. Nothing essential has been left out to make it smaller - the unwind section is what changed.

SERVO PAPER SHEETER

Is The HSCJ-B The Right Paper Sheeter For Your Production?

It depends on your floor space, your paper weight and your output target

The HSCJ-B suits printers, converters and packaging producers working with limited floor area, or anyone who prefers a simpler single-roll layout. Three things settle the question early. Space: this is the smallest footprint in the range. Paper weight: 50–550 g/m² - if you need to run below 50, the multi-roll HSC-B is the machine. Accuracy: ±0.3 mm, like all our single-knife machines; if your work needs ±0.15 mm, look at the double rotary range.
What Is The HSCJ-B

Paper Sheeting Machine?

The compact single-unwind model in the single-knife range

The HSCJ-B is a single-knife machine: a rotating upper knife shears against a fixed lower knife, holding ±0.3 mm at up to 350 cuts/min. What sets it apart from the standard HSC-B is the unwind - one roll instead of two or more, which is where most of the floor space goes. The motor-driven de-curler is a redesign that flattens noticeably better than the conventional type and makes board up to 500 g/m² practical to run; a stepper motor and precision screw adjust the cutter-group inclination automatically to keep sheet corners square; and the collection table lowers as the stack rises, squaring it on three sides with motor and pneumatic vibration.

HSCJ-B Key Advantages For Roll-To-Sheet Production

HSCJ-D: The Cast Iron Upgrade

400 cuts/min and a nodular cast iron body

The HSCJ-D is the HSCJ-B with a nodular cast iron body. The heavier structure, developed through finite element analysis and mechanical vibration testing, eliminates mechanical resonance between transmission components - which is what allows the maximum cutting frequency to rise from 350 to 400 cuts/min and extends bearing life at that speed. Layout, controls, accuracy, cutting length, paper range and footprint are unchanged.
The curves show the machine's mechanical and electrical limits. Actual running speed depends on the paper: light grades in particular are usually run below the theoretical maximum, because web stability rather than drive capacity becomes the limiting factor. We will work out realistic speeds for your paper during the technical review.
Tell us the paper specification and cutting lengths you actually run and we will tell you whether the upgrade is worth paying for.

How The HSCJ-B Turns A Roll Into Finished Sheets

Key System

Motor-Driven De-Curler

Flatter web, and board up to 500 g/m² in practice
The de-curler is a redesign rather than the conventional type, and it flattens the web noticeably better. That is what makes thick board practical on a compact machine - up to 500 g/m² in normal running. A flatter web also holds roll tension more stable into the slitting section.

Automatic Stack Collection

The table lowers as the stack builds
The lifting table lowers automatically as the stack rises, keeping the drop height constant so the sheets land the same way from the first to the last. Motor and pneumatic vibration square the stack, so it comes off the machine ready to move.

Automatic Diagonal Alignment

Square sheet corners without manual adjustment
A stepper motor adjusts the inclination of the cutter group through a precision screw. The sheet is cut at a true right angle to the web, so corners stay square without an operator adjusting the group by hand.

Cutting Unit And Electronic Control

Dynamically balanced knife structure, servo positioning
The upper knife structure is dynamically balanced to keep vibration and noise down at speed. The HMI and servo drive work from production settings and real-time line-speed feedback, so the cut length stays accurate as the line speeds up and slows down.

Remote Diagnosis

Touchscreen connected over the internet
Alongside the operation screen, the machine carries a separate remote communication screen. Connected to the internet, it lets our engineers read machine status, adjust parameters and diagnose faults from here - so most issues can be worked through in a call rather than waiting for someone to fly out.

Configure The HSCJ-B For Your Production Conditions

Review the full line scope before the final quotation

Before we quote, we need to settle: your available floor area and access route, roll diameter and weight, paper curl and basis weight, slitting requirements, finished sheet size, stack height, power supply and output target. If floor space is not actually your constraint, it is worth comparing the single-unwind layout against the HSC-B before you decide - the multi-roll machine runs lighter papers and more of them.
Two options can be added to the HSCJ-B: a Color Code Sensor for tracking printed marks on pre-printed webs, and a Dedusting Roller for removing dust before the web reaches the knives. The automation systems available on the double rotary range are not offered on single-knife machines.

Built For Stable Operation And A Long Service Life

Precision cutting components, rigid structure, controlled sheet handling

The cutting unit carries the load in a single-knife machine, so that is where the material specification matters most. The upper knife is manufactured using British technology, which reduces cutting load and noise and extends blade service life; its roller is steel-welded and dynamically balanced to keep vibration low at speed. The lower knife holder is cast iron, integrally moulded and precision machined. German precision bearings and cutting knives hold accuracy over a long service life, and the reverse cutting knife is special alloy steel, machined to high precision and easy to adjust. Component brands, safety devices and the standard-versus-optional scope are set out in the signed technical agreement.

Support From HSCJ-B Selection To Commissioning

Confirm Installation, training, warranty and remote-support scope are confirmed in the quotation

We provide field installation, a one-year warranty, remote diagnosis through the machine's second screen, and video guidance. Our engineers hold valid U.S. visas and we run our own service base in South America, so on-site support does not wait on paperwork. Send us your factory layout, utilities and access route early - compact machines usually go into buildings that were not designed around them, so the route in is worth measuring before anything ships.

HSCJ-B Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much floor space does the HSCJ-B save?

The saving is in the unwind section: one roll position instead of two or more. Web guiding, slitting, servo cutting, automatic collection and touchscreen control are all the same as on the standard machine. Send us your floor dimensions and we will confirm the layout fits.
  • What is the difference between HSCJ-B and HSC-B?

The unwind. The HSCJ-B takes one roll and runs 50–550 g/m². The HSC-B takes two, four or six, which extends the range down to 30 g/m² and cuts more webs in the same pass. If floor space is your constraint, the HSCJ-B; if light papers or volume are, the HSC-B.
  • Can it handle thicker board?

The supplied PDF states that the redesigned motor-driven de-curler enables practical operation with thick board up to 500 gsm. Final suitability depends on board structure and should be tested or confirmed.
  • How fast does the HSCJ-B run?

Up to 350 cuts/min, with line speed capped at 300 m/min. Which limit you reach depends on cutting length: below about 857 mm the cut rate is the ceiling, above it the line speed is. Light papers in practice run below these figures, because web stability rather than drive capacity becomes the limiting factor.
  • What is the difference between the HSCJ-B and the HSCJ-D?

Cutting frequency: 350 cuts/min against 400. Both are capped at 300 m/min. Everything else is identical.
  • Which options can be added?

Two: The Color Code Sensor and the Dedusting Roller. The automation systems on the double rotary range are not offered on single-knife machines.
  • What do you need to quote an HSCJ-B?

Paper type and basis weight, roll diameter, weight and width, how many webs you want to run, cutting length, finished width, slitting format, output target, stack requirement, power supply, factory layout and destination.
